Jesse Tree ornaments
Hi, everybody! Advent seems to be on everyone's mind. Mine, too!
I was looking for Jesse tree ornaments and decided to draw my own for my kids to color. I wanted something very simple, something that wouldn't completely overwhelm ... as many other online versions of Jesse trees happen to do to me. I needed the Scripture readings to be attached, too, rather than have to flip through different papers. I like streamlined activities.
The Scripture reading for each day is written under the ornament, so you don't have to worry about matching them up! (It looks small here, but it prints out nicely.) Also, be sure to have your print options to "fit page" so you don't cut off the images.
There are many variations on the Jesse tree, but we're doing the simplest one. On Dec. 1, we begin the Jesse tree readings, and then finish up on Christmas Eve.

Enjoy! And be sure to let me know if you use them. :)

These are fantastic, Vee. I made my own Jees tree ornaments last year -- I should have waited :)
I still can't believe we are so close to Advent.
Thanks, Evann! Work has been so crazy stressful lately ... Holy smokes ... that I've been just doodling as therapy and to relax after a word-heavy day. It's nice to have things to share that come from all that. :)
Thank you! I plan to use these with my RE students!
Thank you for your generosity in sharing this!
Faith,
Thanks for the comment. And how neat to think of my work shared with RE students. I've a special place in my heart for catechists and pray for you all regularly. Peace & blessings!
God bless you Veronica! I have been looking for great Jesse Tree ornaments for 2 years and never found something that sung in my heart. These are beautiful and I cannot wait to color them and explore your site some more.
Thanks so much for sharing your art.
peace,
Gabe
Gabe,
Thanks! I know how the hunt for the right Jesse tree ornaments can be ... I struggled to find something that just worked for us, and then, hee, decided to do my own. Now, it's more of our style. And with the Scripture verse number beneath it, I don't have to juggle papers. Hmmm. Maybe next year, though, I'll have the verse winding around the ornament ... Hmmm.
Thanks for taking the time to comment!
